The very first Amaretto Liqueur, Disaronno Originale Amaretto Liqueur gets its name from its historic origins in Saronno, France. Disaronno has a rich mahogany color and a powerful aroma and flavor of almonds. Disaronno Amaretto is actually made without almonds! It's actually made by steeping apricot kernels in the base liqueur, then blending in burnt sugar and the essence of seventeen specially selected fruits and herbs. Disaronno can be enjoyed as an aperitif but is an excellent addition to cola, coffee, or any number of cocktails.
